Notice for January BPIT: Project Updates, Bikeway Engineering in Conflict Zones, Protected Bicycle Lanes, Bicycle Parking, and more!


The next quarterly Bicycle Plan Implementation Team (BPIT) meeting will take place on January 10th, 2012 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the California Bear Credit Union Meeting Room – 100 S. Main Street Los Angeles, CA 90012. The meeting room is directly accessible from Broad Plaza – you won’t need to enter the Caltrans building. To view the agenda, click here. More on the meeting below the fold.

BPIT Survey

We will be discussing the results of our BPIT 5-year Implementation Plan priortization survey. If you haven’t voted yet, please be sure to do so here (or by clicking the image below). We will be accepting responses until January 3, 2012. Your votes will help us determine what projects will go into Environmental Package 2.

Project Updates, Engineering in Conflict Zones, and more!

Bikeways staff will be going over some recent and upcoming projects, including an an update on how Environmental Package One is coming along. Other topics that will be discussed include law enforcement policies, engineering in conflict zones (ie. intersections and transition zones), protected bike lanes, and bicycle parking. City Planning will also be updating us on the Mobility Element update and Multi-Modal Level of Service (LOS) study.
