Don’t Forget! Bike Plan Open Houses Start this Weekend

Just another friendly reminder from LADOT Bike Blog.  This weekend sees the first of four open houses and public hearings on the 2010 Draft LA Bike Plan.  Make sure you attend and make your voice heard.  The more people who can attend, the better the final plan can be.

Your first public opportunity for comment is this Saturday

The first open house for the Draft 2010 Bike Plan is this Saturday, from 10-1, at the Hollywood Municipal Building, location for Bicycle Advisory Committee Meetings and a number of Tour LaBonge rides.  City Planning has all the locations and dates on their website, as well as in both English and Spanish pdfs.

For those who can’t attend the meetings, a webinar public hearing will take place next Wednesday (register here) and written or emailed public comment will be accepted until October 8th.

Make your voice heard!  Los Angeles has gone 19 and 15 years, respectively, between new bike plans.  If this new plan follows that trend, it will dictate the future of bicycle infrastructure in LA for quite a while.  Make sure you know what’s in it.
